Anyone used the Antec Minuet or similar case?

It basically uses half size(height) PCI slots in the case.

Can anyone reccomend a good 10/100 possibly /1000 network card which fits in a half height slot?

The only thing I could think of is to use the card I've got and take the back plate off the card, but it would be a bit of a bodged job with a loose card.

All reccomendations are welcomed,

Cheers all,
John

They are called "Low profile" cards, you can get em most places. Netgear, D-Link and Intel all do low profile network cards, if fact if you search for that term on google you should have some luck, looks like £10-20 for a good one.

My Netgear GA-311 came with both full-height and low profile plates - you just undo 2 screws.

Also - all Buffalo cards come with both plates in the pack.

I have the Minuet, superb case, but my PSU fan finally died, and the PSU packed up, had a bit of trouble tracking a new one down.

Do you not have an inbuilt network port on your motherboard?

Did have one on my Ath64 board I had in there initially, however, have recently fitted it with an old AMD K6 simply ticking over as a webserver.

Just after a decent NIC for it :)

And totally agree, top notch case, love it!

Cheers,
John

It may work out more expensive, but you could just buy a USB to ehternet plug thingy, that would be very easy. Although a half height ethernet PCI card would be better idea.
