Antec Nine Hundred and Seasonic M12 possible?

I am just about to start building a new PC, and have been looking at cases and PSUs.

I really like the look of the Antec Nine Hundred Ultimate Gamers case, and the Seasonic M12 600W PSU. However, I saw someone post on these forums that the length of the 24-pin mobo power cable needs to be quite long because of the design of the case.

Will the M12 cables reach inside this case, or do I need a different power supply? or a different case?

I'm planning on putting an eVGA 680i, Core 2 Duo 6700, nVidia 8800 GTX, 2 SATA drives and a DVD writer into the case. And if I'm lucky, another 8800 GTX a bit further down the line.

Buy an extension lead problem solved. However I am fairly sure it will be ok without.

Thanks Fatboy. I didn't know you could get extension lead for mobo power! Guess that means I won't have a problem

I would be very careful about the 8800's as I'm sure I read somewhere that they are a very, very tight fit. It's actually quite a small case.

http://www.tosk.co.uk/8800/ says one will fit if you move the HDD cage to the bottom position.

Think I heard somewhere else that the 8800 GTX would be a tight fit too... maybe I should go for a different case?

Could someone recommend one? I want the following:

1. Must fit 2 8800GTX cards easily.
2. Plenty of cooling (not water cooled though).
3. ATX or full ATX.
4. Good quality case - and good looking too - black prefferred.
5. Easy access to internals.
6. Price is not really an issue - don't mind spending £100+ on the right case.

The Akasa Eclipse 62 with the Thermal Advanced Side Panel looks quite nice. Any good?

I'm sure I found a thread somewhere here that listed all the cases that the 8800GTX fitted... can't find it now though

You can fit 2 x 8800GTX no problem as well as a Fatal1ty. You need to remove the black plastic fan housing from the top drive cage (Motherboard Side). You will hve no problems

Do you have any photographs? The one I saw had to have the PCIe connectors threaded through the drive cages as the ends of the cards were hard up against the drive cages. And surely that fan is there for a reason?

You probably don't need the Thermal Advanced Side Panel unless you are looking at a pair of ATI X1950XT-X's which can run really hot.

The Eclipse is probably the easiest case to work in, and to get the cooling working properly of any case out there. The Silverstone ST-09 might be getting close though, but's twice the money.

That's all fitting, true. Not a lot of clearance between the PSU and the lower card though. And two fans so close together - is that healthy?

I'm just really worried about temps inside the case with 2 8800 GTXs. I had heat problems with my current rig (with 6800 Ultra) until I added a fan over the Graphics card. But I guess I could always add the fan on the side if I needed to at a later date

It's great to hear that you found the Akasa great to work with - that has probably swung it for me. Looks like I'll get the Akasa Eclipse - I can't find the Silverstone on the OcUK site, but if it's twice the price of the Akasa, I think I'll give it a miss.

I guess I can get everything into one of these cases without re/moving HDD cages or anything else?

@Fatboy - That case looks really packed man! Must have been a nightmare to get it all in

I normally go for 'functional' and leave the 'good looking' stuff to other people - but that rig DOES look very nice! Puts mine to shame
