Antec NSK 6580 Super Midi Tower Case - 430W Earth Watts PSU

will this case be able to power the new q9450 chip and a gforce 8800gt 512mb card

and will there be enough space for the card

I've had a quick look at the main Antec website. It looks to be a very similar size to my SuperLanboy case. I don't know the size of the 8800GT cards, but if it sticks out beyond the motherboard i think you'll have to remove the whole internal 3.5" HDD bay unit.

If you did this I'm sure the card would fit. However, I think the PSU would need a bit more juice.

Nice case combo from Antec! :)

I reckon you would be fine, the Yorkfields quads are particularly power efficient, I'm not 100% what the power draw of an 8800GT is though?

Should be fine although you will not be able to install a hard disk in the drive bay next to the 8800GT.

It's a really nice case to build in and just needs one or two 92mm fans at the front intakes to shine, you also have options for mounting a quiet fan onto the cases side panel to cool your GPU, chipset etc.

i'll look into another case and psu now
Always good to consider your options but don't strike this combo off entirely if you are on a budget. I only use this for budget builds as I nearly always use a Corsair HX series PSU because they roxar!

chhers big wayne for the pic i was wondering what it looked like. i will have 2 hard drives only in the bays will there be space for that.

what types of fans would you recomend for the front and side panel

Hey just double checked the fans and remembered than there is just a single fan mounting point on the case side panel, optional 80mm fan. . .

Not sure what heatsink fan combo you are using but the shroud works very well with horizontal/flat heatsinks, if you are using a tower based HSF like a TRUE then you will not be able to take advantage of the shroud feature and obviously wont need the extra 80mm fan, just two 92mm fans for the front (you could get away with just one 92mm if fairly cool components),
