Antec NSK3480 DVD drive problem

I'm trying to put the drive into the case, but it appears to be too long, leaving 1cm between it and the power supply. This would be ok if it was a SATA drive, but I only had IDE around.

Can anyone who ahs worked with this case help?

If thats the only problem I would buy a SATA DVD Drive, they are only £12 - £15 to buy "Cheap As Chips"

Crikey that's a small case or a very long drive!

As BFG said, the SATA DVD drives these days are filthy cheap

I did manage to squash (with a lot of force) a long ide drive in for a couple of days until i could get a sata. As others have said, i'd advise getting a shorter drive or a SATA drive. Even with a SATA its a tight squeeze.

I squeezed it in with a little modification of the wiring.

All up and running now, brilliant wee case and build.

Thanks for the help though - might be looking into a SATA drive in the near future, for my build too!

When i get chance im gonna put one of these in the two drive bays, it'll help with air to the psu too. Then she's gonna go on an External optical.
