Ok! so most the stuff I ordered arrived this morning to tidy up my case a little and add a cathode maybe later on the week (not too convinced on the cathodes yet). just started about an hour ago. so far ive just started cutting the paxmate taking my time with that stuff wouldn't want to make any mistakes. the most important thing didnt arrive which were the zip ties, gonna go poundland as advised and buy some tomorow. I will post some pics up tommorow and maybe you guys could give me some advice

On my old chieftec scorpio I used to be able to stick loads of cables on the back of the mobo tray (which wasn't removable), I had a really cool setup for plugging in 4 fans on there with some black electrical tape, it made things look much more tidy. I think its best to stick cables down that might "rattle" against something :D

Made this hole for the fan cable moved the hard drives to the bottom bay.

This is the back of the mobo (lol) no one is ever going to open that door so its all cool. at first i was scared that maybe the door might not slide back but it slides back perfectly :)

Had to drill and file down a big hole for the molex connector to pass through. its totaly behing the mobo so its not at all visible plus i covered it up with some paxmate.

lol this does not look like good cabling but its getting there. be gentle guys this is my first attempt. and plus didnt have much money only spent £15 on the things.

Nice job. I used to have a P180. Nightmare to cable!!!

That'll do wonders for the airflow.

Incidentally, are you going to remove the upper HDD bay? I did that and temps improved a noticeable amount! :)

gt

Can I ask a couple of questions about the P180 you have there :D

1. How many dedicated 3.5" drive bays does it have? And how many 3.5" drives could you fit in, if you really had to? At the cost of 5.25” bays etc.

2. Does that sound-proofing stuff come with the case or is it sold separately?

Nice work on the cable tidying btw ;)

No probs.

Reduces turbulence to smooth airflow into the case so it gets quieter and your gpu gets a nice cool breeze!

How quiet do you find it? I had one of the early revisions and it took a little effort to get it quiet! Also, have you suffered any distortion with the main door or sandwiched side panels?

Hopefully they've sorted it now - i still need to get round to RMA'ing mine! :)

Looks really great tho fella!

SW.

1. you can use 6 x 3.5" drives. It also has 4x 5.25" bays I would say that if you really had to add an aditional 3.5" bay it would take up a 5.25" bay. but then again some people are know to go to extreme methods to add bays. I am really not the best person to ask about case modding.

2. the sound proofing stuff are sold seprately but are very cheap got mine from e**y for £9.99

thanks mate

At first the sound was terrible but then i realised that it wasn't from the case it was my gpu fans. so I replaced those and now its amazingly quite the case fans they provide are great too. but might invest in some noctuas in a couple of months. LOL the plastic they use for the case is terrible tho I accidently broke the hindges for the front door :( but contacted them today and sent my invoice hopefully they will ship out a new front door to me pretty soon.

had to put a 80mm fan tried going for a 120 but it would not fit. so i'm sanding down the sides of my 120mm at the moment trying to get that in there.

just tried putting in the sanded down fan inside and it still would not fit so i guess its just not been made to fit an 120mm fan bit stupid but hey what you gonna do? and if you put the fan in the middle of the powersupply and harddrives it basicaly blows the hot air from the powersupply on to the harddrives which is not what i want to do. so i guess 80mm fan it is.
