I have had this case for nearly a year now and still seem to have a constant battle with temps versus noise!

My cabling is very tidy and I have spent some considerable time building and rebuilding the system but always meet the same problems!

Is it a good idea to have the PS at the bottom? the power supply always creats a fair amount of heat which obviously rises! Although it is contained in a unit below the main case the bottom plate gets very hot and I beleive this is a major problem where as in other standard cases the heat is vented straight out the top!
I have tried installing the fan in the bottom bay with my two HD's but there really isn't enough room for decent air flow so this just seems to defeat the object!

Does anyone else have any bulid ideas or pics of there set ups?

Is the heat causing instability when silent?

Quiet + Stable = fine.

If your case temp is 70, and the PC is stable with it nothing at all to worry about.

Wewll in the past I have neverv really checked such things and yes the system (new Conroe build) seems very stable!
However ATI tray tools reports the X1900xTX @ 90deg under full load the CPU @70 and the HD's feel very hot to touch!
I have an Aero cooler on the card as the noise from the stock cooler was awful.

I just think the design of the P180 is not that great as you need cable extensions and all the heat seems to rise into the main bay!

Yup and its poorly built in my experience.

If its stable and not throttling, I would not worry about it mind.

Well I have just rectified the problem!
The front two washable filters were covered in a thick layer of dust so basicaly no air was getting in! One thing though is that when fitted they stop a lot of air flow unless you have a real high powered fan. The front grill acts like a normal filter anyway as per your average case so I beleive these addtitional filters are an over the top design.
My temps have dropped 10 deg without the filters in!

Until all the dust inside the case starts slowing things down and heating them up :D

Well thats a good point but I would rather give the inside a blast with an air spray once in a while than have loads of noisy fans not actually getting the air through!

Might actually by a better case and water cool.
