Had an intermittent buzzing noise in the darkness of my room last night. I almost sh** myself, sounded like the maddest wasp in hell was flyin' about or an imminent alien abduction :p

Found the cause this morning:

The lowest case fan (the one that blows at the PSU -see pic) is bare, and occasionally the SATA cables & other spaghetti lean into the spinning fan and make that noise.

Anyone found a nice way to shield the fan with a grille or something? if so can let me know how you did it so's I can get one.

remove the fan holder and re-attach the fan to the metal bracket with a wire grill on the other side.

What psu you got? I had a tagan 580watt psu and 2 seagate barracuda's in that space. I found that i didn't need the 120mm fan as the airflow from the psu was sufficient to keep the HD's below 30 degrees at all times.
