Hi Guys, ive been looking at this case, my main concern though is power supply cable length, does anyone know of a decent modular power supply that works easily with the P180? Also do i need a motherboard with the 4 pin connector near the bottom?

Cheers guys.

I have a Tagan TG580-U15 580W ATX2.01 Easycon SLi Compliant Modular Silent PSU (3rd one down) cables reach fine to my DFI LanParty UT NF4 SLI-D.

But u will have to swap the lower chamber fan to the other side of the metal braket thing and have your hard drives in the top compartment, i did have them in the lower but because there isnt a lot of room with the fan there the wires where gettin bent, and i could only fit one hard drive down there.

Its an excellent case all around, but if i would hav known how much hassle i would hav been under before i bought it i would hav got an Aksasa Eclipse 62 or a NZXT Lexa. It is a seriously good case, but its so agnoying puttin stuff in and ungrading stuff, mianly becuase everything is separated up into little areas.

What motherboard?
I have the P180 with WD1600J Sata2 drives in the upper hd cage because I had no room for the 120mm fan when my Antec TruePower Psu was installed and the two drives in the bottom hd cage.
Antec SP 500 psu and Antec NeoHE 500 have wires that are long enough.

I have a Tagan 580watt 2force PSU and a Sapphire Pure Advantage Crossfire MOBO. All connectors reach ok apart from the 4pin connector which only just makes it over my x850xt to the socket just above the CPU!!! The x850 has an arctic cooler 5 on which has an extended aluminium cooler that curves out and over the side of the card making it much wider. With the original cooler fitted the cable had a much easier time getting to the 4pin socket!

I removed the fan in the lower section as there was no room - the PSU is 175mm deep!!! This didn't matter much though as the 2force pulls enough air through to cool the two Seagate Barracuda's i have in the lower HDD rack. This leaves a load of space in the main compartment above (where the hdd's would otherwise be) for good airflow to the graphics card/cards!

Also, as the tagan has a fan front and back you can easily coil and cable tie any remaining power cables and push them under the raised psu mount without worrying that they'd get sucked into a bottom facing fan. Works a treat and cools really well! :)

I have the p180 with a Tagan U01 PSU and the MSI K8N mobo. The PSU is a tight fit in the bottom, as I have left the bottom fan in, and I have 4 harddrives in the bottom cage. The 4pin power connector only just reaches, and I mean ONLY JUST as it has to go over 2 GPU's to the top of the mobo, next to the CPU. Ive now bought a 4pin power extension lead to give me a bit of slack. Great case, but as others have mentioned, it can be hard to build in.

I have this case with a Antem Phantom 500 psu. Very tight squeeze with the center fan, but well worthwhile. I have four Diamond max sata drives in the front hdd bay without problem. I did one small mod on the case, cut a very small notch out of the psu/hdd center partition at the bottom rear, to allow the hdd power supply cables to pass through. This means that only the sata cables need to feed up from the hdd section, making it very neat. Also means that a smaller amount of psu cables are fed up in to the motherboard section.

Again the cabling up to the motherboard cpu supply is tight, could do with an extension to keep it tidy.

got one of these on thursday have Akasa Ultra Quiet 460W Paxpower Active from ocuk, the 4pin power to mobo fitted perfect , ie 5 mm shorter and it wouldnt fit, it is a pain to build into tho, took me a good 4 hours, thats not normal ones good ones.

other than that it excellent case. only problem i would say is if u dont have a psu were u can remove the wires, finding a place to tuck the ones u dont use can be a pain
