Is this easy to assemble?

Quite fancy one as an upgrade from my lanboy but have been told its a difficult build?

Looking at the pics in another thread it seems the psu is at the bottom of the case. I have a tagan 580w modular. Will the cables reach the top bay for the optical drive?

I have the same PSu and my cables reach fine.

I didnt find it difficult as such, more frustrating in my opinion than it being difficult.

I've got the same PSU and case, the only cable that struggles is the main ATX power connector (24pin) mine only just reaches. Everything does reach though.

As for the P180, I'm going to get rid of it as soon as I can, wish I never bought it. :(

Too much hassle to get everything in due to the layout of the case, maybe its just me, but the cooling in isn't the best either.

I love mine, I had to get an extension for my PSU cable to reach the socket on my mobo, and it took a while to get everything in and to my liking, but now everything is in I'm very happy.

It's almost totally silent (ok, I am also passively cooling my cpu with a Scythe Ninja, have put a zalman fan on half speed on my 7800GT and have a passively cooled motherboard!), which is a massive plus for me, it really does make it a massive pleasure to use my computer, often I'll forget I've even got it on!

Can you post any pics? and also what temps HD/CPU/VGA/MOtherboard etc?

I have a P180 with a Tagan 580w U22 psu, as Tagans are slightly longer then your average psu I removed the middle fan in the bottom section of the case and made it the intake fan infront of the top hdd cage. As the U22 has a 80mm fan at the front and back of the psu it creates it's own airflow through the bottom compartment. I found setting up this way has given me very good airflow through the case, and my case temp is a steady 31c at load.

Before I go to bed(!):

Case: P180 with the 2 fans on half speed

CPU: A64 3500+ 37c at the moment under basically no load - cooled passively with a scythe ninja, will post loaded temps tomorrow

Mobo: Passively cooled Asus A8N-SLi Premium nForce4 SLi @ 43c (under no load as above)

GPU: BFG 7800 GT (currently 51c), fitted with a Zalman VF700 (as it was ludicrously loud with the default fan!), running on half voltage (I think? - whichever one they say is silent anyway!)

HD: Samsung Spinpoint 140gig + A second old samsung drive

EDIT: PSU: Seasonic S12 430W Silent PSU

Sure, I've had a little to drink now(!). Will post some pics and temps etc tomorrow!

Lol I hope your head is ok this morning and thanks for the info mate. ;)

Thanks also to dobs, Im sure the sensors on my Asus P5W DH is rubbish, it allways says 40c. Cheers for the info guys. :)

The P180B is a pain in the royal.

When it's all in it's great, it was fine when I was air cooling, but now I went watercooling there is no space for anything ;)

It's nice and quiet though.

Makes my p180 look tidy o_O.

the only thing i found annoying is that my dvd drive was too long to properly fit in the 5.25 bays, so it sticks out a bit
