hi,
i just ordered an antec p180 silver from overclockers and would like to know if it is the new version (vented back slots of the vga card, etc... )
also i would like to know if i can use a fan controller because of the door

yes you can use a fan controller with the door shut, it stands off about 1/2 inch

as to the vented back slots? what do you mean..... mine has a duct that goes over the card that gets it's air from the back....big plastic thing like in most antec cases.

There was a new revision of the case made, the VGA duct has been removed. Instead another fan is installed in the top hard drive bay which sits just behind the graphics card area (with the fan installed however, no hard drives can be installed in the top cage). Vented PCI brackets have been added as well to help with cooling.

I would suggest contacting overclockers via a webnote to see if they stock the new revision (I would say they do).

well, i just ordered it now lol
too late.
neway the rvision seems to have been made on june 16 this year so my guess is that it is the old revision.

Just don't use the VGA duct and its virtually the same as the newer version. Has your case got the reinforced door? If it has the inside of the door will be aluminium - if not its black plastic.

Send it back under the distance selling regulations. The DSR exist specifically so that you can inspect the products at home exactly the same as if you bought them in a shop. DON'T USE THE CASE, SEND IT BACK and get the one you wanted.

the dorr is reinforced.
it just has the rubbish psu fan and no vent holes in the back pci slots.
i can live with that and mod a bit myself to get it alike even tho when i asked them they told me it was the newest version

alas, im happy with the case, neway would cost quite a bit to send it back from malta to england
