Hi all,

I am looking into buying an Antec P182 case. Now i am worried that my PSU (Antec 500w NeoHE) cables wont be long enough to reach parts of my motherboard/drives as the PSU is placed at the bottom of the case.

Does anyone have experience with this case and PSU and know if it fits ok or am i in a bit of a mess?

Many thanks,

Tom

I can't say I have personal experience with the case in question. However, would it not make sense to buy some cable extenders? These cost a few pounds and save a lot of unnecessary headaches.

Just count the number of devices the PSU will be connecting to, and the type of connectors used and buy the relevant cables. I would be surprised if it costs more than a tenner.

someone mesured from where the psu is to where the top of the motherbaord is to be around 55cm or around that i think.

google your PSU's model number nd find out how long urs is. ;)

Cable lengths are as listed:

(SP)AUX connector w/48cm cable
SP 60cm PCI Express connector
SP 77cm SATA connector w/cable
SP 77cm Molex connector w/cable

Seems like it should be ok but might get some cable extensions to be safe but would still be nice to know if anyone has this PSU and case :)

Thans for help guys

With the PSU I have the main mobo cable was ok but the cpu cable wasn't long enough to route behind the mobo.

Thanks yipyipboo. I am more then happy to have one cable running through like yours as it is a lot better then the mess that is currently inside my old case.

My P182 got delivered today but i am at work so will have to wait til i get home to find out how my cables will do.

Just hope it drops my temps a bit, my mobo was getting hot in my old case because of such poor airflow and bad cable tidying :o
