sorry for all the help me threads but Im pretty new to this.

The instructions with the motherboard and case are terrible, not helped by the fact they seem like thay have been translated into english very badly.

Now the instructions say heading

'fan power connections'

'these connectors supply power to the cooling fans installed in your system'

CPU fan - which i believe i have correctly connected
SYSTEM FAN POWER CONNECTOR
AUX FANS 1-4.

The problem being thse are tiny little 3 pin connectors and the case fans have chunkier 4 pin connectors.

The only way I see possible to connect the 3 case fans is in this one socket what is the same shape named ATX4P1. HOwever like i said there is only one of these sockets and 3 case fans to connect. I have noticed however, that the case fan connectors can plug into each other in a stacking fashion if that makes sence, so is this how i plug them in.

I also have a square 4 pin connector coming from the power supply with seeminly no where for it to plug into, whats the deal with that?

And lastly, how do I know what is the positive terminal for the for the front panel switches and LED's.

Sorry to come across as an idiot, but these instuctions are terrible.

Thanks.

abit's translations have and always will be terrible, so you usually have to end up figuring out things for yourself.

As for the fans, I think that 4-pin molex on the motherboard is for the 2nd PCI-e x16 slot from the PSU. Hopefully your PSU should have enough 4-pin (molex) plugs available so you can daisy-chain all 3 chains off one of them instead, that or get new fans with 3-pins on them ;)

All the headers should have 2 wires, red and black. Red is positive, black is negative. They are rather fiddly especially when working out which pin(s) on the motherboard connect to each header.

Hope that helps :)

Your fans are 4 pin not 3 pin so you cant plug them into the montherboard, you have to plug them into the power supply instead.

Edit: Beaten to it!

Simply, if fans have small 3-pin connectors plug them into respective 3-pin one on mobo. If mobo does not have/are not enough & or fans use the chunkier 4-pin molex connectors then simple plug into the leads coming from the PSU :)

Thanks guys. I (think) i got it...maybe

There was a cable that came with my corsair 520 that plugged into the powersupply, and on that cable there were 3 plugs that each fan as fit into. Does that sound right?

As for the cables for the power button LED and other front of case ports, some are blue some are red, some black, and some white just to add to the confusion.

Thanks again

If they're anything like the headers in my older Antec PlusView, there might be small indentations of a + or - sign in the corners on one side of the header.

the only thig I can see is a small arrow on one side. I just assumed this was indicating a positive wire.

The manual really is a joke. It says make sure they are connected to the right terminals otherwise it may damage the motherboard, but it doesnt actually say what the right terminals are.

Arrow might indicate positive, can't really remember. It's worth trying it out in both positions, worst case scenario is that the LED/switch won't work properly, there's no risk of damaging the motherboard if you get it wrong.
