Antec P182

Hi, I am going to get a ANTEC P182 PC case. One thing I did not see in the spec list is a activity Hard Drive LED ! ? :confused:

Does any know if there is one on this case ?
And if there is not what I need to wire one in.

Also is there any side wibdow panels for this case ?

Yes there is TWO hard drive LED lights. And no there is no side window avaliable yet.

Does anyone know if the Hiper Type R's leads are long enough for the motherboards? Especially the 24 + 4 pin connectors. Heard somewhere that they werent long enough... :confused:

Personally with the amount of failures I'd just throw that Hiper in the skip.
My Seasonic S12 4 pin cable was just long enough- could have done with extra inch, the ATX cable was no problem, enough slack.

I have a Hiper and the cables reach - just... one problem you have to watch out for is the plugs are quite long so you have to be careful of the lower fan, and its a bitch to install it.

I removed the lower fan. Have not seen any negative effect as yet. Only one hard drive in the bottom cage, so i am hoping the air dragged through by the PS will be enough.

Any idea if they are planning a window?? This is the tidiest case I ever put together and it seems a shame to hide it away :rolleyes:

Just about to buy one myself!
Really want the P182SE for the black interior but I dont like the shiny exterior!
Might have to get it powder coated in the future by a company!

I've got a p180 i've modded the side for a window, its hard with the case due to the layers in the walls.

So you have to go slow with a jigsaw, and then tidy it up with sand paper.

One thing to watch is, if you have your comp on while you sleep in the same room - The LED HDD light is really really bright so you might end up removing it.

When I saw one of these cases in the fleash ( admitterly in was not switched on ) I could only see 1 LED on the front panel with the USB ports ! ?

There is only one afaik, mine has anyway, unless ive missed it

There is lot of pic's, though TBH I can not see any with a secondary LED in side the door ! ?

Only the small power LED can be seen when the door is closed.
