Hi all. I have a Antec p183 case and wanted to open it as at some point im going to buy a TV tuner card. I noticed when i un scerwed the the back it was stiff. Half way down where you open the case ive noticed a white slot and it looks like a clamp inside the case and can not open it. Is this the ment to be there and its normal for this case or has the shop where i got it from clamped it?.

I don't recall anything white in my P183 case. There's the black chamber divider and the spare parts box but they are black.

Not quite sure what you are really describing to be honest.

As for installing a card it's pretty easy. Remove left side panel, remove chosen PCI slot bracket, install card, screw in, put back on side panel.

The white clamp im on about is half way down the case. Any help would be grateful

It's not some sort of security clamp lock thingy is it? The kind of thing they have in offices and places where they'd rather people didn't walk off with the PC and peripherals tucked under their arm.

If it is the same as on my P182. I think it just stops the middle of the side panel pulling away from the case if you move it, although can't see why they didn't use a screw like the other side.

It should just slide open when you remove the 2 thumb screws.
