Hi all,

I'm looking at the Antec P280 for a new build.

It will likely be housing a 3930k which I am considering cooling with a Corsair H100.

A few questions...

Has anyone with a P280 tried to install a H100 at the top where the two fans are?

I have heard that Antec intend to swap the silver screws for black ones (according to the ***** review and some others). Does anyone know more about this?

I'm also looking at adding some front intake fans to the case to increase air flow coming in. I haven't purchased fans in time (6 years since last build..) so would be interested to hear from you guys. The fan sizes would be 120mm and I would prefer them to be as quiet as possible.

Fans, you'd probably be looking at Scythe Gentle Typhoon's, Akasa Apache Blacks or if you really wanted to break the bank Noctua do some fans with absolutely incredible performance/noise ratios. Alternatively the Enermax T.B. Silence fans are silent. Well, silent is pushing it slightly, but I can hear HDD and PSU fan over them...

H100 can fit in a P280 as above.

I'm not too sure about the screws, best bet may be to ask in the Pre-Sales Enquiry forum: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=117 or ask Antec direct.

Apparently they extended the length of the front panel connectors -

Somewhere down the list you see the Antec guy say so.

Glad to know it will fit a H100, shame there isn't space to do a 'push/pull' fan config though to be fair I don't know how much difference that would make to temps?

Sent Antec a query r.e the screws so hope to hear back on that.

Fan wise I don't mind paying a bit extra for quiet. I must confess what with it being so long since my last build I am really out of touch on all this stuff.
