About 2 weeks ago I ordered my Antec PSU - the Antec High Current Pro 1000W '80 Plus Platinum' Modular Power Supply. Having finally gotten all the parts in a working system assembled, i've noticed that the PSU's fan emits a fair repetitive rotational noise that is almost like a muffled knocking sound. I believe it is simply just a poor acoustic-quality fan, or that the fan is just operating at a fairly annoying resonance frequency spin-speed.
I would imagine, in a noisier base system, this would go unnoticed, however my system is very quiet, with the loudest part my GFX card under FurMark load at around 38dB.
Also, sad times that the cables aren't braided in a nicer way too, for what is a very expensive PSU!
