Antec PSU TPII 550 Not Working

Hi all,

Just recently bought an Antec PSU TPII 550Watt for my pc. Anyhow I connected the psu up, and then turned it on. Only the motherboard light turns on, but the pc does not. I have doubled checked all the other connections (power,reset, etc) and all seems fine.

Any ideas what might be causing the issue?

Does the power button on the case definately work. You could try jump starting the PSU to check if it works or not.

It worked fine with the previous psu I have just replaced (Orion XP400 420watt

)

I'd go for jump starting the mobo first, and then try jump starting the PSU directly

How do you jump start a mobo?

Easiest way is to touch a screwdriver on the power switch pins on the mobo. Just hold it there for a second, the PC should turn on as soon as the 2 pins are connected together.
