Hey guys,

I have an Antec case with built-in PSU, and having just replaced my mobo and cpu, have noticed that the fan on the back of the power supply unit isn't working. The fan on the front of it is though. I haven't paid much attention to the fan before so I don't know if it's always been like this, or whether it only kicks in once it gets too hot or something. Could this cause any serious damage to my PC?

Thanks!

Is the PSU hot? They can get pretty warm and the fans are usually cruical for a safe working environment...

Yes the power supply unit is hot. I do also have a big Zalman CPU fan which is working fine, although obviously that won't be cooling the PSU.

It's also making a really annoying high pitch noise. Can I just replace the PSU with a new one?

The case itself is an Antec Solution SLK1650B Black Steel ATX Mini Tower Case with a 350W power supply. Should I get another 350W power supply, or can I use any wattage?

Thanks!
