I've been using Antec 900 cases for a while.

With the PSU in the bottom of the case do they go 'upside down' so that the fan is facing up on them.

I know this seems obviously to be the case, but after looking at dozens of pictures of them all the PSUs in them seem to be the normal 'right way up' with writing not upside down and fans seemingly facing down.

Thanks and apologies for what seems to me to be a very basic question.

Yes there is mate.

Are you saying it doesn't matter which way up it goes (there are gaps top and bottom, although the bottom gap is much smaller) as long as air can get in and the back is clear ? (Obviously the 900 has a separate compartment for the PSU, totoally separated from the main MB section of the case.)

Hmm.. I've got my PSU mounted upside down in my 900 2, never actually thought about it before, the gap below is little more than what's provided from the rubber feet for vibration, I wouldn't have thought that would be enough airflow?

I can't think of any disadvantages of mounting it upside down, other than more dust in the PSU, but a blast of compressed air every now again should sort that out.

Same sort of things I am thinking and what I've done in the past (upside down). Also heat rises, not sure if that would work against the fan.

Also, the opening in the bottom is shaped exatly the same as the fan opening on the PSU, not going all the way to what would be corners of a square.

Only thought about this when I put two PCs together and put the PSUs different ways up in the pair of them. Looked around for advice and couldn't find any. Looked up dozens of images and in all of them the PSUs seem the 'right way up'. :D

Anyone able to add anything else or offer an authoritative view on it ?

Yeah I've always put them upside down in the Antec cases.

I need to know if I should take out the one that is the right way up and put it upside down :D
