ANTEC Skeleton - Open Air Case!

Me too I love it. No problem with dust really in fact surely there is less chance of dust gathering with a whopping fan blowing from the top.

Getting bored of w/c now so may well sell my kit and modded case and buy something this

Kids pets and girfriends should be banned/barred from going anywhere near a self built PC anyway:p

Only problem apart from the price, is whether or not you would get a big air cooler under the main fan housing looks a bit tight to me.

Think the word for this is functional, appeals to people like me who see a pc as a collection of components rather than an anodised box.

That wont stop dust. Also have to factor in when its off.

For me a case should cool and protect your components and this doesnt do the latter. So for that reason alone... i'm out.

This is meant for benchmarkers / those who want the best performance from their rig (and who will upgrade every time something new gets released).

It's more for convenience for swapping parts in and out quickly; rather than just for a general use case.

Who are you, Peter Jones? (Or Duncan Bannatyne or Deborah Meaden or James Caan)

its the worst possible combination, it looks cheap, but it isn't!

if you must have a bench table I think the dimas ones are much nicer.

Oh dear I must be one of the very few people who actually quite like the idea of the Skeleton.

Granted it's overpriced and certainly not practical for the majority of mainstream users, but Antec must think theres a market for it out there.

i like too!!! sorry...

Really poor design. Crap airflow has been compensated for by adding a huge fan that will IME do bugger all.

Obvisoluy aimed at people who think its 'cool' as any decent benchmarker either has a testbed or just keeps the side off their case.

Quite dangerous too. Is it EU approved?

Really like the case tbh, great idea for people who are constantly meddling with components.

However 150 quid is shocking, if it was half that it would still be overpriced.

Is it though? Sure you can see everything but getting to the components doesn't look as easy as with a standard case with the side off.

You're still going to have to move the large fan at the very least.

I can see a lot of inexperienced people thinking its fantstic until they buy one and realise any of the standard cases under half its price are actually more user friendly.

Total gimmick and nothing more.
