Antec Sonata 11 Piano Black Quiet Case

Antec Sonata 11 Piano Black Quiet Case, just got one of these and having a problem fitting my Dvd/cd drive in it.
Basically, how the hell do you fasten the drive into the case, this is a new one on me, haven't done a build for years so things must have changed abit.
Please help.

I was just about to ask the same thing about the Antec SLK3000B, which I assume has the same mechanism? I've found those rail things, but when I fix them to the outside of the drive, the drive doesn't fit in the bay! How in the hell do you fit them in? It's the stupidest bit of case design ever, especially as you also need to remove the PSU before sliding them in from the back!

You need to fasten the steel brackets to each side of the drive and then simply slide it into the slot.

Had to figure that one out myself too

Yes, tried that, but the rails prevent the drive from fitting! :mad:

i have one of those cases
you have to screw the plastic guides on to the side of your drive
the one on my case are purple colour
they also have a metal clip at the front of the guide
so when you slide it into the bay the clips lock it in to place

Hmmm. It should slide easily into place if they are fitted correctly.

ok, i have sorted it, didn't see the rails clipped behind to drive covers.

Sorted it now. It was the Toshiba DVD rom drive that seems to be incompatible. No matter how and where the rails were screwed it would not go in. In the end we had to use a combination of brute force, wiggling, and putting the rails in first, then sliding the drive in from the front. Very odd.

They should go on the bottom row of holes on the side of CD/DVD drive and it'll slot in no problems.

lol, trust me, I tried every concievable combination and permutation!

There was no way that drive was going in the usual way!
