Has anyone got one of these? What are they like? I'm thinking of getting one to cool my northbridge and RAM but not sure about the noise/effectiveness.

I mate

very good piece of hardware

mine is not working now(since I upgrade to a Chieftech big-tower and I´m using my Ballistyx at 1.9V the ram is completely cool ,so the northbridge is just warm- as I´m not overclocking)

but the fan is powerfull,and in low or medium speed is very silente

Where abouts did you attach it to? Does it mount securely?

attach to a motherboard standoff...

blue lights are horrid though

in one of the holes of the Board ,with the screw who secure the Board to the plate of the case

it could be in a hole in the board itself, or if the board is shorter than the plate ( some boards are) it could be in one of the free holes

yes it´s feel secure ( if the hole and the screw are in good condition of course)

I have one on top of NB and it's very convenient but very noisy if you turn it up to max. I have it on low atm and it's very quiet.
