I bought an Antec Trio 650W Truepower for the bargain price of £17 from a computer fair this evening. The guy had a sticker on it for £20 but we settled on £17. Now this power supply is the SLI type with both 6 pin PCIE (x2) and an 8 pin PCIE connector, 4 sata connectors etc. He deals in SECOND HAND goods, so the PSU is not new.
What's the worst that can happen? can it actually blow up my computer if it's faulty? or will it simply just not work? I am loathed it put it in my rig as I am scared of it going pop. The thing that bothers me is why he would sell an expensive power supply so cheap.
A. It's broken and wants shot of it.
B. He does not actually know what it's worth.
C. ?
