Antec TruePower Trio 550W compatible with GeForce GTX 1080 ARMOR OC?

I have my trusted Antec TP3 550W which I would like to reuse in the new build? Does it offer sufficient power? Does it have all the necessary connectors?

Power wise it will work, however it is only 2 x 6pin PCI-E, standard GTX1080 are 1 x 6pin, and 1 x 8pin I think. (after market models can vary in what they need as well)

So you may need a 6pin to 8pin adapter.

I would be replacing that now. The Truepower Trio came out around 2006/2007 so is 10-11 years old now. I would be looking at a modern more efficient, preferably modular, 550w unit and keep the Antec for testing purposes.

I bought it 4 years ago though so my unit itself is not nearly that old.

Did you buy it brand new? Does it have a build date anywhere on it because they were discontinued years ago?
