Antec VSP-5000 question

just before i take delivery of this case' i wondered if any one could tell me if its got enough room in it to house a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO (120mm)

just read up on this CPU cooler and people are saying its a bit tall! ...its going onto a 4690K coupled with a GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-SLI Intel Z97 (Socket 1150) Motherboard


hate to get started and find i cant shut the case

That site says 158mm height, but the Hyper 212 is 159mm tall

Antec support forum rep said 159mm, so to take into account any tolerances I think the 212 may be a bit tall for the case or very very tight

A lot of other sites say 158mm also, so I'd take the height as 158mm. I'd opt for a smaller cooler than the 212 Evo
Ace Modder (Antec rep) might be able to help you out with an exact figure, but from the numerous sites stating 158mm that seems to be the case

I believe the BeQuiet cooler is better than the 212 Evo anyway. It's going to be very tight, I wouldn't recommend it :)

I'll send him a trust and see if he can help you out
