Anyone used one of these devices to quieten the neighbours kids ?

Once inside they're quiet but when in the garden it sounds like a little bit OTT

FYI tried speaking to them unfortunately they're council tenants who've been there nearly a year and unlikely to change.

So kids being loud in their own garden?

You're the nutter here..

If they're free to create their own noise in their garden, it's no different to what I'm doing

When their noise forces me out my garden, I'm forcing them out of theirs.

I take it you were the most angelic child and you have been perfectly behaved throughout your life. FFS it's summer I bet you'll be on a thread in a few months saying kids watch too much TV or are on their Xbox too much .

Near where I live some block of flats back onto a path and have installed these to get rid of congregating teenagers. It worked but also ensured that anyone who walks along there now takes the road route due to it being extremely unpleasant for all.

I remember one of the houses I delivered too on my paper round (like 12 years ago) had one of these installed, you could hear it but it wasn't that annoying to be honest since you get used to the tone after a few moments.

I never caused my neighbours to complain.

I'm stuck in doors with the windows closed and ****ing headphones on atm, I can't even sit in my own garden and read

So your neighbours never complained about anything you did upto the age of 18. And you've never did anything since that age eg fun at uni etc, which has caused someone to complain about your behaviour.

If that truly is the case ignore the kids go out get bladdered or something and live life for once! Come home with a traffic cone on your head or something.

How many dogs are in the area? You'd probably get more noise from all the dogs barking at the irritating noise.

There's actually no dogs near by, everyone seems to own cats. Although the neighbours did have a small dog which barked at literally everything while in the garden. After complaints their daughter, who owned it and lived else where took it away. - I have no idea how many kids they actually have as they always have other people kids there, looks to be 3-5 of them there atm.

What a stupid device, if you do install one I hope it gets vandalised very quickly.

I wouldn't permanently install it, I'd only use it as and when their noise gets too much. - I would hope the fact they knew I had one would be enough for them to keep their noise down and be more of a deterrent.

Oddly I sympathise with the OP.

I live in a very nice quiet area. Nothing to the front of me other than fields and trees but a few houses behind.
One of the houses behind us has a girl of about eight or nine who does nothing but scream (high pitched ear piercing) and shout (never just talks) from 7:30am until she goes in at about 8pm. Then her parents come out and it's loud (terrible) music being played whilst they get drunker and try to talk over the music.

Morons with no consideration for other people around them especially those with younger children who will obv be in bed. Sadly all my other neighbours are too placid to complain.
