Hi Guys,
Recently started getting a problem with my pc shutting down with the anti-surge after reboot. Could it be my psu it's a ocz 500w.
I'm running a fx 6200, 4 gig ram, gtx660, with two hdd and dvd rw. Is this ample enough. Can run games on normal detail but soon as I crank it up to ultra it lasts 5 minutes then switches off.
Cheers for any info :)

What are the temperatures also like?
Sounds like your power supply. 500W should be enough but I am not sure if that PSU will be supplying a stable current?

I'm guessing you have the 500w coreXstream.

500w coreXstream = 444w @ 12v
Your PC requires 350w-400w at full load

Pushing a cheap PSU to its limit will likely cause instability.

You should be looking for a PSU with 500w or more @ 12v and not made by HEC.

It's sad, but true. :D

YOUR BASKET
1 x XFX Pro 650W Core Edition '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply £64.99
1 x Corsair Builder Series CX 600w Modular '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply (CP-9020060-UK) £62.99
1 x Thermaltake Smart 630W '80 Plus' Power Supply £59.99
Total : £199.97 (includes shipping : £10.00).

Ideally you want a 550w PSU, but they're all mostly out of stock or no longer sold. So have had to up to 630-650 range, however that works in your favour.

You could get a 750w if you ever want to crossfire/sli in the future?
