Strange, I'm neither a moron nor someone who installs random apps or clicks on anything and everything. Somehow I managed to get it.
The writers are getting very devious, it's not purely down to user error.
 
Isn't this one that comes from one of those pop-ups - "Win32.exe trojan has been detected on your system! Click here for free scan!!"?

Nasty, cynical piece of malware that preys on the less informed.

It may, but Im a little more savvy than to click on those links. I'm not sure how this got installed on my laptop, but it wasn't one of those dialogue boxes for sure.
 
It just downloads itself in the background , then copies a value into registry to load itself up on the next reboot. Thats how it looks when I looked into it the other week
