Don't be silly and 9/10 times, virus/malware don't reach your system - and no, honestly speaking, one don't need spyware remover or even an antivirus (unless you're concerned you might be transferring viruses to your Windows/PC counter parts - but they usually have their protection.)
I've been surfing almost identically on my home PC (Windows XP SP2 with Norton and a selection of spyware remover). 0 found on my MacBook since Sept'06, way too many to count on my PC.
Bottom line is, there's no immediate threat to the Mac users but I cannot guarantee there will never be one.
