Anti-virus/malware

Can anyone suggest a good anti-virus/malware program for a macbook user?
I notice that Sophos offer a free AV program has anyone got experience of using this a mac.

The mac is currently running Snow Leopard so I am unable to use the gate keeper to medium setting. It is probably worth upgrading for £14…

I've always used the Sophos free solution since it was released. I was working at Sophos when it was released so used it for trial purposes, but continue to use it even now as it's a fantastic offering

Definitely. White listing is better than any 3rd-party AV.
