I've had McAfee for the past 4-5 years and just kept renewing it because magically 3-4 weeks before it was due to run out I'd get a email for a "discount" and to be honest some of them where quite good. Think it was only £15 for 18 months worth last time.
Doesn't look like it's going to happen this year; not sure if they've been bought out??
Anyway, advice on best "cheap/free" alternative. Or should I simply install Microsoft security essentials and keep everything updated (I try to) Not sure what the consensus is on virus checkers/protection is any more.
