Anticipating new games

I 'm a keen CSS player and am seeking a new game. I now have BF2 which is good fun , although I need to invest a lot of time to master it.

Regarding these new PC MP games coming out this Autum. I can afford to buy them, but I haven't got the time to invest in all of them.

I've ruled out ET:Qw. I found BF2 more fun and balanced.

Now its down to

TF2
COD4
UT3
Crysis

I want it to be UT3, but that might turn out to be all hype.

Which one do you think could be the new online multiplayer fps king? I haven't played any demos/betas so no idea.

I really used to enjoy Quake3 arena. Does UT3 have game modes similar to Q3 , such as capture the flag/fairly small map/no vehicles?

Nothing will overtake CS/CSS for quite some time, sadly.

Crysis will be popular, but I can't see it being a huge success with serious competitive clans. Same goes for UT, COD3 and TF2.

UT3 is basically UT2004 with better graphics and a few enhancements.
 
cod2 > css and cod4 will > css

i think cod4 is gonna be the best, css but better, less hitbox, better extra features (perks) ranks, more tactical, and last but not least, better anti-cheat.

agreed.i have built my pc a few months ago and has not been really tested.i just hope i will still be interested in gaming because its really been gathering dust.its been a bad year so far for pc gamers.all i can say is bring em on and stop jerking us around...

Perks will more than likely be removed from MP, atleast competative anyways.
 
Get pro evolution soccer 2008 26th or Supreme commander. as we have enough fps to last.Yet another one how ever good it is will grow tiresome fast,just look at bioshock everyone including me bored of it within days.I have almost every game going the two i play the most online are sup comm and pes6.
Out of those mentioned only one is on my list obviously Crysis.There's plenty of decent free fps mods around like insurgency.

That's a tad inaccurate mate. UT3 will be a combination of the original UT and UT04. If you have played them both, you wil know there is a big difference in the two games.
 
I think Crysis will be one of the best PC games to come out for some years, if the mod community gets there hands on it and make some decent and unique MP mods then i think it can go on many more years like HL and CS did.
 
what valve is doing with tf2 is clever, compared to dod:source which never really caught on

tf2 is going to be a big hit (not that ive played it)

I'm waiting for Crysis, Jericho, The Witcher, Call Of Duty 4, Unreal Tournament 3, Spore, The Crossing and I'll be getting the Orange Box soon. :)

I'm also waiting for Mass Effect, Project Gotham Racing 4, Assassin's Creed, Resident Evil 5 and Fable 2 but naturally I'll be getting those for my 360 instead of my PC.

All in all, the following months and 2008 are going to very filled with gaming for me. It's been a slow year. :(
