antivibration fan mounts

just changed one of my fans to a viper s and it come with antivibration fan mounts but the ends of the rubber mounts are nearly touching my cpu cooler so i was wondering is it ok to cut them down abit or will this effect how it holds the viper s in place.

Yeah it's perfectly fine to cut em down
Once they're fitted it makes no difference
