hi, installed antirvir last night, noticed that active guard is running is this adviced to be on or off?

It's not a bad thing to be running in the background, but ( and this is just in my own experience ) AntiVir Active Guard throws up a lot of needless false positives.

I would go with Avast Free rather than AntiVir.

Just my two cents worth though, others may disagree. :cool:
 
Love my antivir :) But have had a few falsies last few weeks...but then again so does the damn Norton Corp at work. Every AV gets them.

Also you want to have Activeguard running as this is what protects you from getting any viruses.
 
thanks guys, yes hada few falsies but had same ones as avg brought up, but avg stopped updated it self and would crash, antivir seems a lot user friendly too, i tried avast once and only once!!
guard active permanent now
