antivirus licence query

im going to stick with bitdefender which is 15 quid for 3 pcs for a year,now how does it work with the licence if i only have 2 pcs can i save 1 licence for another year or will it be the same licence for 3 pcs,i.e if i only use 2.1 will just expire the same time as the other 2 pcs,cheers hope this makes sense
 
I would have thought that the licenses are concurrent and you won’t be able to save the extra one for next year.
 
They will all last for a year and expire together. So you can't use two now and one next year. You'd just be wasting money because you'd have paid for a PC to be protected but you aren't using the licence for it.
 
cheers for the advice might aswell just get the 1 licence then,why dont they go up in 1/2/3/4/5 instead of 1/3/5 for the pcs,could i get the 3 and give 1 of them to my brother for his laptop or would the licence have to run of the email address
 
Dunno about the 1/2/3/4/5 thing. Perhaps a way of making money. If you need two you have to buy three. If you need four you have to buy five. ;)

Not too sure about the laptop bit. The licence might expect all the PCs to be at the same address. If it does then your brother needs to be living in the same house as you.
 
cheers Marclister m8 will just go for the 3 as it is only 3 pound more so at the leaast the pc and the wifes laptop are protected,thanks again
 
And if you do not want to pay for an antivirus software there are free alternatives that are just as good (if not better) such as Avast!
 
cheers for all the help lads but i like bitdefender and for the price well its for nothing really,nothing against the free ones just feel that this is the best one for me
