Antivirus / Malware Scanning Advice Please

Hi Guys

I'm always very careful with what I install, sites I go to etc.

My son, who plays minecraft isn't always as careful and he uses my account on the PC, time to make him a normal account..

Anyway, I think he goes to these voting page sites which allows him access to the servers he votes for, you know the type of site, used to be very popular for warez sites. As far as I know these sites are usually populated with god knows what.

To get to the point, some how my apple id has been reset, so I am presuming they got access to my email account to authorise it.

Did a full scan using malware bytes and Microsoft Security Essentials, found a couple of things which were removed.

Rebooted then changed passwords for everything that I could think of.

Is there anything else I could use to do another scan that maybe these two above progs might not pick up?

Download, install and run (it doesn't aggressively market their products) and is a good indication of clean or not..

If you updated Malwarebytes then your most likely safe, one thing to consider is using something like Keepass, Lastpass or 1password (I use Lastpass but all are good) for nice complex passwords, just make your "master password" an absolute beauty you'll never forget!

Also get your son on a normal non-admin account and change your admin password on the PC ;)
 
Cheers mate, i'll give lastpass a go..

Just got another apple id reset request there, possibly someone who maybe thinks they have my login id, probably missing a . and keep trying it..

Just installing lastpass right now, looks good, will let the scans work overnight.#

Thanks for the advice, totally forgot about changing my password for admin on pc... :)
