Antivirus Program?

Looking at buying one, wanting opinions on

Kaspersky AV

NOD32 AV

Both are the same price for a year, computer it will be running on is mainly used for gaming, online and off. I would be using additional spyware, Firewall progs.

So which you think is best?
 
NOD32 is excellent, never had a problem with it, never tried the other one.

You could always use a free one, e.g. Avira, which is pretty good.
 
I know buying an AV won't break the bank but its hard to look past the fact that in terms of detection rate and resource usage the freeware Avira [or even Avast] are arguably as good as any payware.....
 
yeah perhaps, only cause i got burned recently using free AV. Not tried Avira though. Reformatting my system today so wanted some ideas!
Prob go for NOD, heard good things about it, though Kasper looks the easiest to use.

Use Avast & if it makes you feel better send me Thirty quid :D

I've used Avast for years now & I am an Avid Porn fan, Major gamer & extensive Spammer, Avast keeps me safe from Interweb STD's.
 
I'd like to put in a good word for Norton Internet Security 2009(?)

They went back to drawing board and took all the bloat out of it - I've been really impressed with it so far :)
