Antivirus..

I think NOD32 is the best but it costs £23 per year.

If your looking for a free anti-virus I would recommend AVG.

I can also recommend AVG Free, i've never had any trouble with it. It always seems to catch any threats and gets rid of them before they cause any trouble.

I find it keeps crashing when i update if i haven't recently restarted the computer for some reason. And i don't really like the new layout.

Nod32 user here, no complaints, beats Kaspersky imo because it doesn't slow the pc down that much.
I've had:
AVG
Norton 2002, 2003, 2005
Nod32
Kaspersky

And found norton 2002 good, and NOD32 best, but norton 02 is too old now to be very effective imo, so nod32 :).

I have noticed over the past year or so that may users are migrating to NOD32.

I'm interested to know what makes it such a good AV?

Good protection generally, but for me the most important thing is that it doesn't slow down my pc, kaspersky and newer nortons slowed my pc down so much that I'd prefer to have no av than them, can't stand waiting ages for folders to load...
