Any 1 elses TF2 redownloading for some gay reason?

Argh great ¬_¬ I just brought it about an hour ago and was getting great speeds - now everyone is updating im down to 20KBP ¬_¬
 
Well seeing as I cant play TF2, I think I will unzip to one of my other hobbies
 
team fortress 2 was more of a beta when you got it with the orange box. you're complaining that theyre basically updating it so that there are no issues.

did you make a thread like this about every counter strike source update?

it aint an update, its just decided to redownload the whole game :confused:
 
it said 34% ish complete when i loaded up steam, finished the update at some sluggish speed within 12 mins so it isn't really redownloading the whole thing
 
i started the download lastnight and it's still going? 59% done with 3+ hours left, fingers crossed i mght get a go tonight.
 
got all ready for a night of TF2 hilarity and yep mines downloading the game again at 160kb/s so hopefully it won't take all night, 91% here.
 
I restarted it a bunch of times - it did about 4% in as many hours. Then I logged out and in again using switch user and it went up to more like 1MB/sec (at times).. Was finished within about 20 mins. although I would imagine quitting and restarting would still change content server so it was probably just a coincidence that logging out got onto a good one.

p.s. ocuk servers are looking rather empty

Thats pretty good, for 30 years ago. Time to upgrade that modem :p
