Hi everyone.
I have recently build a new pc.
My first mobo was a Gigabyte GA-PH67-UD3-B3 which whined terribly when c3/c6 was enabled.
I RMA it and bought Asus P8H67-M LX which whines as well! this time not as bad. on this BIOS you can leave c3 enabled and c6 disabled to fix it.
as soon as windows 7 or windows 7 installer disc boots up it starts and gets better(but not silent) if you unplug all usb or PS/2 connection.
I've heard of this before and I think it comes from coils around CPU area.
I can't put up with it and I don't want to disable c3/c6 as that disables CPU TurboBoost.
Can anyone confirm any 1155 boards that don't have this fault or perhaps you know a fix for it?
I don't mind paying extra for P67 board if all H67 do it.. but I don't need SLI, overclocking or any extra features.
Thank you in advance.
