Any 24" IPS 1080p monitor recommendations?

Looking to go to a dual monitor set up, I'm currently using the BenQ RL2455HM, which is the PS4's monitor, but all I have at the moment. I've only got the desk space for a maximum of 2 24" monitors after evaluation, and am looking for one to use as my daily driver.

I've got a GTX 980 SC and mainly play mmo's and rpg's but also the occasional fps, Overwatch etc. I'll also be using the monitor for some personal editing. I'm planning on going with the BenQ XL2430 as an all rounder with the benefit of the 144H refresh rate, I've had a look for well reviewed 24" IPS panels, predominantly on this site, but not really found much, I don't really want to go any smaller than 24". I could probably manage a 27 inch and a 24 inch monitor, but I've heard negative things about 1080p @ 27 inches, and 2560x1440 is a bit rich for my blood atm, plus I've heard a lot about back light bleed at that size/resolution and am quite fussy.

And feedback or suggestions would be really appreciated, all the best!

Depends what features you want. I'd plug your required features into filters on aggregate sites (like PC Part Picker) and see how many monitors you're left with, then look for reviews on places like TFT Central. Personally I was left with two so it wasn't too tough of a choice! Personally I'd never use a TN panel again but you may not care about that much. 144 Hz is great for FPS games too.

Thanks DragonQ, the Part Picker advice was really helpful. I can't find a 24" IPS panel with a brand that I'd personally like to go with, but I have come along this 23" IPS from Asus which I'm considering purchasing 2 of for a dual monitor setup.

Reviews seem pretty solid, couldn't find anything on TFT Central but I've looked elsewhere and for 2 monitors I feel that's a fair price. I would like an IPS simply for web browsing and the fact that the majority of the games I play don't often go above 60Hz.

I do have a question though which you may be able to answer, my GTX 980 has 3 DP ports and 1 HDMI port, and with these monitor's both being HDMI, how will I be able to run them both from the same card? Do I need some sort of adapter or cable, any help would be really appreciated.

Thankyou!

Hmm, bit rare for a monitor these days to not have DisplayPort interfaces. You'd need an HDMI to DisplayPort adapter; there are some around for a fiver but I have no experience with them so can't comment on if they work or not.

Can I just add that if I was after a 1080p monitor i'd probably hunt high and low for an Eizo Foris FG2421. It's a 24" VA screen that does 120Hz but you get the colour reproducton and clarity of an IPS without as much BLB and glow that you associate with such a panel.

And the contrast - it's simply untouchable in this regard!

Only thing is that you're not going to find it new so it's going to take some work. But I would be happy to say it's probably one of the best 1080p screens money can buy.
