Any 74 plate car (maybe Lexus) owners? Speed limit warning

Hi all,

My mum is looking at ordering a Lexus NX350h, or maybe a '24 Merc GLC (though test drive yesterday revealed it's annoyingly jiggly suspension).

With this new mandated EU speed limiter from July-24 onwards, which must be switched off every time you start the car, would this put any people off that have a brand new car? How invasive is it? Particularly interested in the two manufacturers above, but any experiences would be nice...

Thanks all. It seems Lexus has not thought of having a quick button to turn the feature off, so it is a case of scrolling through all the screens... infuriating. Might actually go for a used one based on this...
