Hello, anyone with good access experience fancy knocking up a quick database for me? Will of course pay for time as long as rates aren't silly!

Simple project database (we have a partially populated excel sheet with all right columns), needs to be searchable and have a few output sheets. Only about 10 or so fields. I just can't be done learning it having faffed for an hour or so!

Email in trust if you are up for it!

The fields are project number, client name, project name, city, country (would like a drop down with all countries), fee, project description (memo), source of the project, project type from a set list

Want to be able to search for records by any of those with the exception of description, and fee

Not sure if that answers the question :)

For a given search I would like to be able to output a table with project name, description, client, project type too

SQL - more fun and useful than access!

Indeed, but Access is decent enough for small databases like the Op requests.

We support some access databases here (SQL developers/Analysts primarily) and it's on going.

You need someone who can support you consistently (e.g. an employee/yourself) as it's very rare these things don't change in the early days.

I wouldn't be willing to help because I can appreciate how the time investment changes...and I don't need the extra work :P

Thanks for the advice. I used to run an approach database years ago and one of my team has some access experience, so I think when up and running we would be fine. I just don't have the time for the learning curve now. We don't have IT people.
