So I recently bought a new PC to enter the world of gaming and threw my Pentium 4 trash away (Man, such a good feeling to upgrade)...
So I bought a Dell Optiplex 7020 Mini Tower for 50$ (44.74 Euros) that comes with:
-Core i5-4590 (Can upgrade to i7-4770/4790 for an additional 30$)
-1600 MHz 2x4 (8) GB RAM
-Default unbranded Chinese 290w PSU No certification
-Dell Inc. 08WKV3 A00 Motherboard with intel Q87 Chipset
So I also bought a Used Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 570 4 GB for 80$ (71.59 Euros)
So the Problem is that after I bought the GPU I needed to buy a new PSU, I bought Corsair CX550 For 65$ (58.17 Euros) But after I bought it I found out that I can't plug it in because the PSU has a 24 Pin connector when the motherboard only comes with an 8 Pin connector...
Here's what's important, My friend told me that I should buy a standard 24 pin to 8 pin Adapter for the PSU to work with the motherboard, but he kept warning me that it can burn my PSU and motherboard and all...
So what I want to know, Do you have any suggestions for a reliable adapter I can use for my Optiplex that wouldn't cause any problems?
