Hi , I am about to build a custom loop for a new rig , just waiting for the last few bits to arrive , question is do you use any additional sealing compound around the G1/4 thread fitting other than the "O Ring " supplied with the fitting ?
Thanks in advance

I’ve always used ptfe sealing tape on the threads as an added precaution. I also always nip them up just a hair beyond hand tight using a tool as I’ve had some come loose too easily when fiddling in the case later on.

Shouldn’t do no. They have an o-ring which is plenty enough to seal them.

Some brands down the bore have machining to accept an Allen key which I would suggest using if yours does. Just don’t over-tighten them especially in plastic blocks etc. Use the short side of the Allen key to secure them.

ok thanks for the replies , i'm using corsair flexi tube fittings which do have a good O ring but I will add some PTFE where it wont be noticed
