Any ADSL modem/routers that will run tomato?

Hi guys,

As per subject. I know the Linksys routers run Tomato very well, but are there any actual full adsl combined modem/routers that support Tomato as opposed to just plain switches/routers? The Tomato website says "and Broadcom based routers.", so I'm hoping there are some.

Currently using a DG834GT with DGTeam fw (which I have no problems with) and I also have an old(er) BT Voyager 2091 which I bought at a shop (= not locked to BT). The DG does me very well but like most on here I just fancied a play and liked the look of the features Tomato offers over DGTeam (QoS, graphs, wifi tweakage etc) :D

Cheers.

Tomato looks cool, I'm still using DDWRT on my WRT54G Ver4 (but i'm only using it as an AP onto a net only subnet)

.. you learn something new everyday.. as they say :P

Indeed :D BTW guys I know I could use one of my current routers as a modem-only and wire it to a WRT, but I don't wanna do that or I'd just have bought one of those :D

Just found out my old BT Voyager 2091 ADSL2+ modem/router has a Broadcom BCM6348 chipset. Tomato says it works with "other broadcom routers"... would I be able to Tomato my 2091?? If so which of the images should I flash it with?

Holy thread resurrection, Batman :D Just an update to answer my own question in case anyone ever searches for a similar thing:

I spoke to one of the devs of the Tomato fw, and he pointed out the blatantly obvious... Tomato is written for the Linksys WRTxxx et al. which are switch/routers and NOT modem routers. So even if my BT Voyager 2091 could manage to load Tomato, the modem side would be dead as a door-nail because Tomato contains no modem drivers! Oops.

Maybe there's a way to "slipstream" the ADSL drivers in there? A project for a boring day, perhaps. I had done with it and ordered a Linksys WRT54GL today anyway, so yay

I think given a few more releases the work that's being done by the UberGT guys will as mature as Tomato. One to watch anyway.

UberGT isn't being developed any more :) Braco has announced that since DGTeam's firmware is essentially the same as his, but more up to date, he's ceasing development.

Stev-O is doing a great job with DGTeam's fw, I use it exclusively. Check it out :D
