Any adsl2 routers for bad lines?

I didn't always have a bad line, but now I have huge sn margin drops every few minutes that causes my be modem to disconnect.

However, the green usb speedtouch sting ray modem never drops. I've been told it is something to do with it having a good chipset or something.

So, I'm asking if there is a adsl2 router available that will act like the speedtouch usb.

Also, is there anyway I can use the stingray modem with be?

Cheers.

The speedtouch routers that can be 'adjusted' using dmt tool are generally pretty good for stabalizing a long line 'some of the time' (its speculation based on what i have heard. As for the chipset being better, its more case of being compatible with the equipment in the exchanges as its made mostly by the same company (alcatel/speedtouch/thompson). Hope that helps :)

I highly recommend the Speedtouch 585i v6, I get double the speed that my old netgear834 could reach!

Same here, although i had a Solewise before. Combined with DMT its a great router.

Is that using the dmt tool? Thinking about getting one of these as I've seen a good price on them. Does it do the snr tweaking well then?

The DMT tool got me a few more a meg, two more at most, the netgear was just rubbish on ADSL2+, was fine for ADSL..
