any advantage switching to mini displayport from DVI-D?

I run a Dell U2312HM (1920x1080) and Dell U2412M (1920x1200) through DVI-D cables.
I see that many new graphics cards have just one DVI output and 2 mini displayports. Is there any advantage to switching both to displayport? If not, then I'll just change over one monitor.

Displayport has more bandwidth and so can support higher resolutions then single link DVI and you can daisy chain displays off one cable.

As you are running 1920x1080/1200 (max supported by single link DVI) there is not really any benefit to changing cables/ports.
