Any advice for CPU Cooler

Hello guys, I am new to overclocker's forums and moreover new to computing.

So I bough this computer which is great works fine and I don't have any problems with it, but when I start playing some games, or render same videos it goes mad, like literally its so loud (I mean fans).

I am making youtube videos and I am using Blue Yeti microphone which is extremely sensitive and I put gain to lowest point that I can but the fan noise is still extremely annoying and microphone itself keep catching it.

So after a while I decided to check which one of these fans are so loud (My pc has 4)

So I put my computer on full load and saw that its not the psu fan, not case fan and not graphic card fan so it has to be CPU fan. So I slowed it down and yeah without it, it was so quite. And moreover no matter if this fan works load like jet, it still does not do its job cpu temperature jumps up to 80c and I really think thats because its bad cooler.

So could you give me advice on a good reliable and quite CPU Fan, because I looked internet and I found a lot of different ones, but I don't know which one will fit my computer.

I would really appreciate if someone could give a good choice of CPU coolers.
 
Need to know what case specs say your CPU clearance is to khow tall a cooler can be... and how tall your RAM/memory is too please. ;)
 
What cases an cooler are your currently using?

How much do you want to spend? just incase the airflow on your case is not very good.

Are you planning on Oc.

This is on offer, I was gutted when I saw the price as I just got a different one for more money...Very good cooler!

Easiest way to find noisy fans is to plug them in one by one, or put your ear to them.

What do you mean by 100$? Also, you should probably remove the link to other seller from your previous post.

Can't really make out the case due to the image size lol, but it looks like its only got one fan on the side.

How many fan slots an where are they top/front/side/bottom i only ask because it wouldn't matter what cooler you put on if there's no way for your case to breath.

I'd try an change the image size also before the mods come strolling along ;)

Do you think it would fit my pc, because it does not say that is capable with socket AM3+

I am willing to buy cooler up to 100$
 
First of all ...how many mms from your CPU to the side of your case ?...you will need to know this....because not all coolers are the same height ....and of course as you're using an FX CPU you will be looking FOR AM3+ Coolers ,although some coolers will fit onto AM2 and AM3 as well as AM3+

Also keep in mind ram clearance too

From motherboard to side its 15cm

So from CPU roughly I would say 13cm because from current fan there still 9-10cm's of free space to side.

But I don't know are they good and is it worth of getting one.

And I still have doubts about it will it fit and how noisy it will be, I have read reviews and found that people getting problems when fitting it.

Could you put a straightedge / ruler across your case and measure from the CPU to the straightedge? If we subtract 10mm from that measurement we will know what your CPU clearance is.;) Then we be able to suggest coolers that will fit.

I would avoid the Corsair Hydro coolers. They have had pump problems for better part of the last year. Corsair said the problem was fixed but just today I saw a new post about another bad pump. :( I don't know where you live but if you have to pay to send cooler with bad pump back for RMA from UK it costs over £30 out of your pocket to get a replacement for a defective product. :(

If you buy Phanteks they pay everything.. I just had mine replaced. Not that it was really bad but had a fin that wasn't as tight as it should be. ;)

Ok so the dimensions of case are: 410(H) X 200(W) X 480(D) mm

I took my fan off and from CPU to the side (glass) there is 17.5cm and if I still did not answer your question could you explain in more detail what details you are looking for?

But do you think that product from Corsair would fit my computer? I just want quite CPU Cooler with low temperatures, I don't overclock my PC and it's still overheating and CPU fan is going crazy with that loud noise.
 
Most cpu coolers are 165mm max. The Corsair water coolers aren't quiet due to the stock fan being horribly loud at max rpm. Seems like you pay more for novelty than for quality.

AM3 and AM3+ should be the same in regards to coolers?

Is your rear fan mount usually empty? Exhaust fan is imporant. If you don't have one your PSU will be taking on so much heat.

Look's like you won't have trouble installing the majority of heatsinks in that case. :) I recommend the Noctua D14 because of the current price, and how easy it is to install after you put the mounting bracket on. It's compatible with almost all sockets. Including AM3+. I have it and love it, very quiet and performs so well. It's a pleasure to install and would sort out your temp problems.

It would be overkill if you don't overclock, but you could run it with the low noise adapter and you would not hear it!

My computer is now like in pictures above in album, so it was like that when I purchased and as I said it has 4 Fans in total at the moment which is:
Graphic card fan
PSU fan
Case fan
CPU fan

This fan looks like a beast cooler and has a good reviews, but my concerns would be that it is not AM3+ or even AM3. Socket LGA1366/LGA1156/LGA1155/LGA775/AM2/AM2 and would it not any problems with RAM's? And could you also give me some advice on low noise adapters?

I run 3x 140mm intake fans @ 750rpm and no exhaust fans Fans ramp up if CPU is working at more than 70% load to 1000rpm max.... but my PSU is in the bottom of case. Brian is right about having a rear exhaust fan to help remove heat and increase airflow to PSU,

One of the quietest coolers is Thermalright HR-02 at 162mm high

K2 . = . 140x128x158mm 146x154x160mm w/fans (Width x Depth x Height looking from front of case with motherboard laying flat)
D14 = . 140x130x160mm 140x158x160mm w/fans
TC14 = 140x134x160mm 140x159x171mm w/fans
SA . = . 147x123x160mm 151x149x160mm w/Fans
SB-E. = 155x105x164mm 170x130x170mm w/fans
Extreme 155x105x164mm 155x130x165mm w/fans Reason it's smaller is 140mm fan vs 150mm fan.

K2, D14 & TC14 are about same except for TC14 140mm fans & 31mm RAM clearance stack up to 171mm (my R2 is 165mm clearance and TC14 fits)

SB-E is widest by 15mm. Even wider with TY-150 fan = 170.

Extreme with TY-143 fans is still 151.5mm
