Hey guys, I'd like some help for a problem. I got my soundcard today Creative Soundblaster Xtreme gamer (price ~£60 if you're looking) and came across a little stumbling block when putting it in. My ATI Radeon 4870 1gb's fan is at least half covered to wholly covered by the sound card if i put it in. I can't put it anywhere else because the gfx card covers one of the other PCI slots with its fan.
I'm putting a side fan into my Antec 300 case (which is alongside the gfx card), would this be enough to offset whatever the soundcard would cover?
Am i being overcautious or is there any workarounds?.. Or am i going to have to return the card and live with onboard sound.
